A Brilliant Day at Exmoor Zoo - Rain and All!

点评：We visited as a family group on one of the wettest days imaginable but Exmoor Zoo turned it into something truly memorable. The animal talks were not only informative but genuinely entertaining, with passionate keepers who clearly love what they do. The interactive experience with Boris the spider, the praying mantis and Mrs Brown one of the stick insects was a highlight - especially for the children (and brave adults!).
We travelled especially to see Abou the Shoebill and it was absolutely worth it. But the real magic moment came when my son, who is obsessed with honey badgers, got to see them up close. One of the keepers kindly coaxed them out with a bit of honey so he wouldn’t miss them - such a thoughtful gesture that made his day.
Despite the rain, the zoo was well laid out, easy to navigate, and full of surprises. A brilliant day out for all ages and we’ll definitely be back - hopefully with better weather next time!
