Pumpkin Spectacular has turned into a rotten experience

点评：We visited the pumpkin spectacular back in 2013 and it was amazing!!! We came back because we were in the area and always had great memories of that first trip and I wish we kept it at 1 visit.
The first time was really spectacular, dozens of professionally carved pumpkins, each better than the last. The atmosphere was electric with excitement and both kids and parents trying to guess what design is on each pumpkin. The shadows of a giraffe even made it to our funny antidotes from that trip.
Fast forward to this week and money hungry execs took over. There wasn't even half the amount of professionally carved pumpkins this time around. Don't get me wrong, the skill was on point, amazing work and detail. But it was a joke of a spectacular. It felt like they just wanted to herd us in to look at a few pumpkins and be choked out with the fog machine. They weren't interested in your experience, just your money. The zoo had hundreds of silly and fun pumpkins but the professional ones was barely 2 dozen from what we were able to see. The area was so packed and crowded, I bumped into more people than I saw pumpkins. It shattered the beautiful and fun memories we had from 2013 in the face of corporate greed.
