点评：Once inside, we stopped for a professional group photo and were each handed a welcome drink, which made it feel as though the evening had officially begun. Before dinner, we made our way around the activity area, taking in the sights and sounds of everything happening around us. Brenda and Sky made leis, Brenda, Courtney and the girls also tried the weaving station and created a headband, and we watched a coconut tree climber show off his skill in a way that drew a crowd. One of the most memorable moments before the meal was seeing the underground-roasted pig uncovered and then carried around for everyone to admire, a tradition that added both excitement and a stronger sense of place to the evening.
When it was time for dinner, we found our pre-assigned seats under cover, which turned out to be perfect both for comfort and for the excellent view of the stage. The three-course meal featured local favorites, including Kalua pork, and it felt like a fitting way to settle into the evening’s entertainment. After dinner, we sat back and enjoyed a lively show that carried us on a colorful journey through Polynesia with music, dance, and storytelling from across the South Pacific. We also shared our table with a lovely couple who had been married for 63 years, and it was a genuinely sweet moment when the host recognized them in front of the audience. By the end of the night, the whole experience felt warm, festive, and deeply memorable, and we were so grateful to Michael and Courtney for treating us to such a special evening.
