点评：You Tube videos would have you believe this river crossing, located on the East Alligator River, is one of the deadliest crossings in the world and I would certainly imagine this river ford over into Arnhem Land is not for the feigned hearted during the wet season. We visited during the dry season in August and July to October/November is the best season for a tourist to visit as the river is well defined and the crocs, who congregate at high tide for the fish, are easy to spot from the viewing platform above the crossing. And as Cahills Crossing is the only entry point into Arnhem Land, you are also likely to see some of the locals make the crossing during this time of year.
The viewing platform is on the western bank of the East Alligator River in Kakadu National Park and there is a large car park nearby with facilities and information boards.
