Shepherds Rest的点评
点评：Came to the shepherd's rest for a Sunday dinner with family today..
Initial views were positive. Clean, tidy, good friendly atmosphere! The lig fire was lit and there were 4 or 5 hand pulled ales on offer. The locals were proud to tell me about their recent 5 star visit from cask marque! (I can see why!)
We had a very warm greeting, were seated and had excellent service throughout. Extra points for asking if we wanted any specific sauces with our meals BEFORE they came out, so our food wasn't getting cold.
Now to the juicy bits. Between the party, we ordered soup and pate starters, chicken and beef Sunday lunches, hot beef Baguettes and kids meals. All of them were hot, fresh and clearly made with care. I just about finished my meal, it was such fabulous value for money. It was 2 courses for £17 and for what we got, I would have paid a lot more.
We will definitely be back to have another of the amazing giant homemade yorkshire puds, and those carrots OMG.
Definitely a hidden gem of sowerby bridge. Tell your friends. Tell your family. Tell the strangers at the bus stop. 10 out of 10!
