点评:I went on a mid-week day in February and it was very peaceful, I deliberately avoided the bank holiday the day before, as I suspect it would have been a different story. I bumped into a tour guide who was very knowledgeable and offered a talk about the gardens for about 30 mins, he mentioned the gardens in many areas are deliberately unkept and wild. There was no charge for any of this. There is a large picnic area which was mostly deserted on this particular day so it was a good opportunity to read a book for an hour in peace with just nature for company, something that is not abundant in Malta.
I came by bus and it was quite an expedition from St. Pauls. After getting one to Rabat, the buses do not go to Buskett from Rabat, you have to get one to Dingli and then they stop off at Buskett afterwards (and then they go back to Rabat) so 3 buses to get to the gardens but just 2 coming back. Also as another reviewer mentioned the buses don't stop at the 2222 stop, so I had to get off at Lawrenti 2225 and walk back down. You may want to get off at Sienja 2221 and walk-on and then through the gardens and get the bus back from 2225 from the top-left of the gardens.
