Route with a 3 year old and 6 year old child

点评：Lovely walk from dalegarth station. Parking £3 for 2 hours or £6 for the day, but free parking available on the route just over the 1st bridge from the main road.
Walked with a 6 year old and a 3 year old and although it is a lovely route, it does get narrow and scrambly on the path up the river. I was aware of that, and an older couple did suggest a slightly longer alternative that would be more appropriate with the 3 year old but I pressed on. We did come back down that way as it was a challenging route with the 3 year old! I would suggest following the track road instead of turning off past the gate to the Riverside path. It is still a scenic route, but much easier for smaller children, and actually not much longer at all as it would be quicker than the scramble. (Thank you couple for the suggestion!)
The view point at the top is great, such a drop below.
