Yes, temporary accommodations not the best but still can learn so much. You should still go.
Charles Young Buffalo Soldiers National Monument的点评
点评:Despite the visitor center being in temporary, hard to find accommodations (inside the Bishop Reverdy C. Ransom Memorial Library on the Payne Theological Seminary campus,) this is still a must-see activity. This is one that you really need to actually read and examine the displays and watch the movie. Speak to the young Ranger stationed here. He is extremely well versed in this subject and his passion for it is obvious. I watched as several groups walked in, looked around at one or two of the panels, then walked out. It is a shame they missed out on so much information.
Yes, this is not the house. Yes, the displays are crammed together and seem like a (very well put together) high school science project parent night presentation. Yes, it looks like it is inside of a large space in a library. Look past this and take the time to get to know Charles Young, the Buffalo Soldiers, and even some of the history of the National Park Service. It is very, very well worth it.
They are making needed renovations/improvements to the house. We can cut them a little slack while they try to preserve history.
