点评：Moored at Lowestoft Quay, Mincarlo is the last surviving side-winder trawler from the town’s once-thriving fishing fleet and what's more it’s completely free to visit. Run by a group of passionate volunteers, many of whom worked the boats themselves and are a mind of interesting stories and information, this floating time capsule gives you a real sense of life at sea.
Explore the wheelhouse, crew quarters, Engine, and even the fish hold, just be aware access to the lower decks involves steep steps, so it’s not ideal for those with mobility issues.
This isn’t just a boat, it’s part of Lowestofts living heritage, saved and cared for by a dedicated trust who also look after the Lydia Eva which is moored at Great Yarmouth. The Mincarlo is a must-see for anyone with an interest in work history whether it's maritime or local , or those who just love the sea.
