Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory的点评
点评：It was a bucket list item to hit this factory tour and museum. While on our anniversary road trip, we added Louisville to our route.
We were blown away when we pulled up to the “Big Bat” ⚾️ You know you are in the right place for sure! I loved how the brick on the sidewalk makes up a baseball just at the base of the bat.
Inside, you find the museum and factory tour. The factory tour is very cool! From the forest to the creation of the bat…every step. So unreal to see! A cylinder of wood, shaved to a bat, the cutting of the tips, waxed or painted…it showed you all! On the way out, you are given a mini bat and you can grab a few bat nubs.
The museum has lots of wax figures and facts. Famous bats used in play, hats, bobbleheads.
A really neat area was the “Hold a piece of history.” In this area, you get to choose a bat used in a game by many famous players including Babe Ruth and Hank Aaron!
The bat vault is also cool. Has stats of every person who has had a bat made; weight, shape, length.
The Pee Wee Reese Gallery has the story of the bat. A lot of nice information.
The gift shop is very nice! Lots of bats and items made from bats such as canes, cups, etc…
Notes: Admission fee. Tickets can be purchased in advance. Active military discounts.
Good for kids. Changing tables in the restrooms.
Paid parking garage and street parking.
