Baseball Heaven: hold a Babe Ruth Game-Used Bat at the Louisville Slugger Museum”
Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory的点评
点评:While in Louisville for the 2026 Kentucky Derby, we made sure to carve out time for the Louisville Slugger Museum—and I’m so glad we did.
Any baseball fan needs to put this one on the list. It’s fun, hands-on, and packed with history, including the chance to swing a game-used MLB bat that was once held by some of the game’s greats.
One of the coolest moments for me was holding a 1933 game-used bat that Babe Ruth swung. That thing was a monster at 40.2 ounces—much heavier than the 30–32 ounce bats most hitters use today. I also saw bats that Lou Gehrig and Shoeless Joe Jackson had used - Awesome!
We also got to see the machines that make a professional MLB bat in about 40 seconds, which was pretty amazing.
It’s easy to fit this into a 1–2 hour visit, and it works perfectly with a stop at one of the bourbon tasting spots nearby. If you love baseball, you’re going to love this museum.
