点评:This is a great location that has been stuffed with loads of memorabilia. It appears Elvis must have been a hoarder as they have everything here - even a receipt for a fish tank!
The tour starts with a short film that really is just to gather the group up. Then you go on a short bus ride across a busy road and up to the house. It's quite something how close it is to the road, albeit I guess traffic was lighter in his day.
The house isn't huge but is very opulent in a 1970s gaudy blingy way - with rooms having carpet wallpaper, glass tiled ceilings, and all the gadgets of the day. There are some associated buildings too with his father's office, a hall with a lot of personal items and so forth then the graves of Elvis and family members.
Then it's a bus back to the main area where there is a succession of rooms, each on a theme. Highlights were the huge array of gold discs, the cases full of his various performance cloths and then his aircraft and cars. The one surprise was how dusty so many of the cars appeared to be.
Overall this is an expansive site that is stuffed full of loads of Elvis related items, and then even more inspired by his name.
