点评:This is a real fitting tribute to General Grant. I visited on my own and was glad I did, thereby having more time to really appreciate the site. The building is made up of a lower floor with a gallery looking down on the two coffins of the General and his wife, with references to the Civil War all around. There was an app you could download, but I didn't have any Internet so cant commenton that. Thought the whole site was respectfully done and I was surprised how empty it was. At most points, I was on my own, especially when I visited on the 140th Anniversary of his death. Towards the river there is a separate museum/ information centre and shop, I spent about half an hour reading every detail chronicalling Grants life and this was finished with a 20ish minute video which reinforced what I'd read. This experience was right up my street, and I probably spent about two hours here, I'm sure many could do it in half that time. Well worth visiting, admission was free and it's not too far from Central Park.
