Worth the horseback experience!

点评：We took time out to go horseback riding at CPH Ride Horseback in Dragoer while we were visiting Copenhagen this June. It was very convenient to take public transportation from across the street from the Radhuspladsen (City Hall) in Copenhagen. You just need to make sure and check the bus schedule so you will arrive on time for your scheduled horseback ride. The bus is absolutely very on time!
You will get off right the bus across the street from CPH Ride Horseback. Allow about 50 minutes for the bus ride.
We took the 2 hour Beginner Walk that went along the road to the beach. There were only four of us and it was an enjoyable ride with our guide, Mette. She constantly made sure that our Icelandic horses were following each other and keeping up with their strides as they frequently like to sneak and take a bite of the surrounding grasses. We were instructed before commencing the ride how to handle the horses as it is a bit different from the United States. It took awhile for me to get accustomed to this new method but nevertheless, our guide helped us along and the walk through the forest and along the coast line was a nice leveled walk for a beginner such as myself.
Before beginning our walk, we were given brushes to help groom our assigned horses and at the end we were given some horse treats to feed our horses. This was a nice personal touch that we received and it was a nice experience with it as most other busier and bigger horseback outfitters do not have the time and energy for this extra added experience. The only thing that I was not too happy with was that there was no stop at all during our 2 hour walk; therefore, no photo of me on my horse. I was told that the experience with horseback riding in Copenhagen would remain solely in my heart but in any respect, I do highly recommend CPH Ride Horseback if you have extra time while visiting Copenhagen. The outdoor surroundings in Copenhagen are enjoyable in comparison to city life.
