Quick and Convenient Way to get to/from the airport

点评：The trains to and from Oslo Airport run frequently and are reasonably affordable at 240 NOK per adult. If you're looking for special rates you have to buy them at the ticket kiosks or counter for students and seniors. Children 16 and under travel for free as long as they are with a fare paying adult. However, if you're just a regular adult you can scan your credit card at the gate before going to the platform at the airport or scan your card on the platform in Oslo central station. The machines will send the ticket to your phone if you have a Norwegian phone number or you can print your ticket. Keep your ticket available because there are staff that will come around to scan tickets.
The train cars are comfy with plenty of seating options and there are some spaces to store your luggage near the doors. The whole system is designed for convenience and they have screens that show details about your departure if it is coming up and you can print your baggage tags before boarding the train and even some printers for bag tags on the train itself.
Trains run about every ten minutes on normal days and every 20 minutes on holidays. It only takes about 20 minutes to get between Oslo airport and Oslo Central. There are other stops along the route primarily for pickup but I recall there being a stop for drop off when we were coming from the airport - best to ask the ticket counter for these details.
There are some nice views on both sides of the train. We took one at sunrise to the airport and the view on the right side of the train was nice. The barcode buildings in Oslo were cool to see as well and we got a good view of them when we were seated in the left side coming into the city.
This is a convenient and affordable option for Solo travellers, couples or families with young children. If you are a large group I would even recommend this option if you want to get to the city centre quickly.
