Impossible access for disabled
The Kaptan June Sea Turtle Conservation Foundation的点评
点评：Every year, my wife and I visited Dalyan for a couple of weeks on holiday. We have always visited the Turtle Hospital during our stay, to see the turtles and buy one or two items in support of the project, and to leave a small donation.
We are both in our 70's, and my wife is disabled and wheelchair bound since suffering a stroke in 2011.
We hired a car for a few days In September 2024, and as usual, we set off to visit the hospital, only to find that unlike on previous visits, cars were no longer allowed to drive up the hill leading up to the hospital.
Had it not been for two young men offering their help to push her up the hill, which incidentally is very stoney and rutted, our visit would have had to be aborted.
Unless and until disabled people with limited mobility are allowed to drive up the hill, sadly, we won't be visiting the hospital again.
