Amazing trip - you must sail with Vasilis and Pirate in Skopelos!!!

点评：We’re on a mother daughter trip with our 25-year old girls on their first time to Greece. After a couple days in Athens, we’ve been in Skopelos for a full week. We’d been told that taking a sail around the islands was not to be missed.
Each day we walked by the various boats at Skopelos harbor, talked with the captains, read their online reviews and we fell in love with captain Vasilis (adorable older Greek who sent us emojis on what’s app in response to our booking request) and his adorable dog Pirate. We had the time of our lives today!
It couldn’t have been more perfect - Vasilis took us out for 8 hours and we snorkeled and paddle boarded at three different gorgeous locations around the island of Alonissos, he fed us fresh fruit and yogurt with his homemade apricot jam in the morning, plied us with wine beer juice and fresh fruit in the afternoon (apricots from his orchard) and we stopped for lunch at one of the ports on Alonissos. Vasilis had caught a fish on our way to the island and had the restaurant prepare it for us to eat - in addition to the items we ordered and paid for on our own (we did not have to pay for Vasilis’ and his shipmate’s lunches). We had time to stroll around the little town before we sailed to our third stop and then headed back to the harbor.
The boat is the best boat I’ve ever been on for this kind of daylong sail. Vasilis new boat (he’s had it for four years, having sold his previous boat of 20 years) has lots of space with comfy areas to sit and lie down - mostly in the large shaded area. I’ve never been on a sailboat that had so much shaded area it was really lovely - we could feel the breezes and open air and also not worry about being sunburned from 8 hours on the water.
Pirate the miniature poodle is a wonderful addition to the journey as he cuddled up with each of us and entertained us with his antics.
If you want to go for the sail for a lifetime on Skopelos - you must choose Aegeo Sailing with Vasilis and Pirate!!!
