点评：The park is an integral part of your visit to the Pena Palace. Don't miss it and have enough time, it is huge and very beautiful. Start visiting the park after your tour the palace, from the top point, where the shuttle bus stops, the descent along the park paths will take you about 50 minutes. Here, take a photo of the park plan from the stand or have with you a physical copy of the plan that was given to you at the entrance to the palace. My advice is to start from here because if you go up from the lower entrance, it is a steep road up and it will not leave you with strength and energy for either enjoy the park or for a tour of the palace.
The lush, captivating, and sprawling palace grounds are dotted with romantic surprises. Several landmarks within the park are signposted near the shuttle bus stop. Highlights include the High Cross (highest point around, with commanding views), chapel, a temple, 5 small lakes with swans and its houses, giant sequoia trees, exotic plants, and Chalet and Garden of the Countess of Edla (included in the ticket to the Pena Palace and Park of Pena). The downhill stroll follows you to the lower park gate, at the Lakes/Lagos entry, where you'll find a bus stop and the Estrada de Pena loop road. Here you can wait for the city bus or take an Uber for your next tour of Sintra.
