点评：One would not imagine to find such a welcoming environmental setting for a food and beverage outlet, on the outskirts of the hub-bub of Gladstone, Central Queensland's undisputed industrial and commerce centre.
Situated on the banks of Gladstone's eastern foreshore and quite easily accessible from the City's southern entrance from Mount Larcom, this location is ideal for the traveller needing a break without the hassle of negotiating traffic lights and busy intersections as in the city's CBD.
The entire area covers approximately 5 square kilometeres of parkland from where you can also board a ferry to either Lady Musgrave or Curtis Island, the latter being the home of a major turtle nesting rookery.
The park's location is shared with the family oriented Eastern Shore Precinct, City Council buildings and the Central Queensland University outreach hub.
Cafe Spinnaker Park, set on manicured parkland and shared footpath/ cycleways, offers reasonably priced tea, coffee and cold drinks with its a la carte menu and friendly personal service.
If sharing a dish just request an extra plate for your guest.
Shaded alfresco dining is also available from the three table settings at the entrance of the business.
This area is pet friendly with water bowls made available for our animal friends.
Rest room ammenities are within the building.
The eastern outlook overlooks a lawned area leading to an ocean view of harboured marine vessels.
This area is unfenced, make sure to supervise the little ones.
The bonus here, within a stone's throw of the Spinnaker Park Cafe, is a safety-netted, small, swimming 'beach'.
Directly over the park road from the Cafe is the picturesque Gladstone Harbour, another one of Gladstone's many photogenic settings.
