Highly recommended, spend half a day in nature and learn about elephants

点评：There are so many elephant sanctuaries around Chiang Mai. I chose Lanna Elephant Sanctuary after doing some research in advance and I can say I'm very happy with my choice. I visited the place with my husband and 7 year old daughter and we had a blast. It's an amazing experience to be able to interact with those beautiful animals.
The staff are so nice as well, our guide presented the animals and their stories and was even quizzing us on the elephants' names :)
In case you were wondering what you will need for your visit - actually nothing. They provide you with clothes and sandals (it is advisable to wear a bathing suit if you're planning on bathing the elephants). They have towels as well, to dry yourself after the shower, they are kind of small though, a towel is the only thing you may want to bring with you. There's also water and very tasty lunch with pad thai, mango sticky rice and fresh fruit.
There's also the opportunity to purchase souvenirs made of recycled elephant poo!
