点评:The event included a ride in a van. Since it's a working ranch there weren't any 'tourist' spots per se, except for the house that had the loom for making horse blankets. Driving by a building such as the horse stables and viewing them from 200 yards away was not a treat: would have been great to see some of the prize studs or some of the Santa Gertrudis bulls up close (such magnificent animals). Seeing cattle out in the pasture wasn't a big deal. Mr. Danny our tour guide did a great job in keeping the ride around the property as interesting as he could with a telling of the history (which was interesting). Was disappointed that no pictures are allowed in the museum (associated with the King Ranch). The ladies at the visitor center on the ranch were cheerful and friendly. I had heard of the King Ranch 50 years ago and was delighted to finally be able to visit. Overall, we enjoyed the trip.
