点评:Lovely mall—but please beware of certain corridor stalls
I’ve always enjoyed visiting Mimosa Mall, but I feel strongly that other shoppers should be warned about a negative experience I had with one of the pop-up stalls operating in the mall corridors—specifically one selling electronic accessories.
While my child was in hospital, about to go in for surgery, I quickly went out to buy a charger for their tablets to try and alleviate his stress and anxiety. I didn’t have the energy to haggle or question the price—I assumed it would include a reasonable markup, nothing excessive. Instead, I was charged R1000 for a basic phone charger.
I was given a receipt and told I had a three-month guarantee—but only verbally. Nothing was provided in writing. Looking back, I feel deeply exploited. It’s incredibly disappointing to realise that, during a single moment of vulnerability and stress, someone saw an opportunity to take advantage.
I urge management to reconsider allowing them, and I urge other shoppers to avoid these stalls. You WILL be exploited. Rookie mistake, I know, my fault. Let this be a warning to others.
