Coco Cay的点评
点评：Perfect Day at Coco Cay was just an average experience for us. Please note, ships don’t always dock at “7:00am” like stated on the Royal Caribbean website. Our ship didn’t let guests off the ship until close to 10:00am. The “exotic dancers” that were supposed to greet guests upon arrival to Coco Cay were very lackluster. The dancers were wearing full body long johns underneath their bedazzled bikini tops. They were marching in place instead of dancing. They did not smile or greet any cruisers.
All of our excursions booked through Royal Caribbean were cancelled for Coco Cay so we just hung out at Hideaway Beach. We’ve been to plenty of beaches and resort pools across the world that offer way more activities than Hideaway Beach. The poolside DJ was pretty good and played upbeat songs to get people dancing. There were no games or interactive activities with Coco Cay staff.
The food at Coco Cay is the exact same as the Windjammer Buffet abroad the ship. Food was being pulled by tractors off our ship to stock the restaurants at Coco Cay. The only difference we could find was empanadas offered at a pizza place near Hideaway Beach.
There’s plenty of souvenirs stalls selling expensive tshirts and beach totes. If you wait until you board the ship, then those items with the Coco Cay logo will be brought back to the ship and sold onboard for much cheaper. We bought Coco Cay tshirts from the shops on our ship during a 2 for $30 sale.
The tram was helpful to get to Hideaway Beach, but it does not take you across the entire island. The Royal Caribbean website made it seem like you could ride the tram anywhere on Coco Cay. The tram only goes to a few locations and the rest of the time you are walking. Overall, Coco Cay was a pretty island, but it did not meet our expectations.
