点评:NOMA has a solid if unspectacular collection. In terms of paintings, from early renaissance up through modern, the collection is representative, but few standouts. There is Monet and several other 'names' from the last 150 years, but it is not a 'big city' collection. That said, the layout is easy to follow (points there!), there is a section on decorative arts through time, and an Asian/African collection tucked up on the 3rd floor. Special exhibit occupies a very large space - unfortunately one which was of no interest to me at time of visit. It's a nice diversion, and a decent value. Had I more time for gardens this would probably gain another star. I lucked out in parking, but can see it may be a challenge - and a walk. Keep that in mind if tightly scheduled.
