点评:While an interesting history and a nice structure, not really worth the cost of admission. It could have been our guide more than the actual place. She seemed very focused on human justice and sustainability than on history or facts about the place. While it seems there is a law in Kentucky that you need to represent all histories and views - this one seemed really odd and strange for the items the guide shared. A question on the doll she said the one African American had her whole life - the answer she gave and doll she showed does not quite fit with other histories she shared about the family. She also had odd answers to why there was wall to wall carpet in this structure that was built. That also did not seem to fit with what we knew from history - especially when she still said that they would clean the carpet on a weekly basis. That much carpet for any family seemed odd - especially when families from that time period who had MUCH more funding and help did not have wall to wall carpet due to maintenance and time.
