点评:After many years of wanting to go, the family and I finally booked it and attended. Getting there was ok, albiet, not easy because of the number of people. This was expected and totally fine - I felt that they had a pretty good plan to get people safely in there. The issue was trying to leave.
We were way in the back and started toward the busses five seconds after it was over. There was a massive push towards the busses and no real guidance or direction given at all as to where to go or what to do (or how to spread this large group out). My family found ourselves in a crush of people toward the center of the group which was going nowhere. Busses kept pulling up to the front and taking folks from there, but not by us. People started getting very frustrated, pushing, cussing, and yelling at the ONE security guard we could see (no cops anywhere within sight, and no one directing anything).
The security guard would not let people leave out of the front to walk back (which we were very willing to do), and we could not get out backwards because of the crush of people - we were stuck with little kids in tow. I've been to countless large events (sporting events, concerts, etc...) and have never seen something this disorganized or dangerous.
One of the worst parts is that I reached out to the organizers with my concerns/comments and suggestions on how things could be better. Nothing. I've emailed several times just to have someone acknowledge that they received it. Nothing.
It's a great event, but needs someone very talented to organize people leaving to prevent this from happening again. The lack of instruction/direction/information and police presence was appalling for that large of a group.
If you go, get there two hours earlier than you think you need to, and when you leave, just hang way to the back and then find an easy area to exit and walk back. It only took us about 35 minutes to walk it, and it felt good to be out of the crowd.
