点评：Another memorable visit to Assateague National Seashore. The beautiful sunrise, the majestic wild ponies, the turkeys and the peace and serenity is unmatched.
The ponies were active and wonderful to admire and observe.
Multiple boardwalks and plenty of areas to walk and just take in this beautiful place. Enjoy a walk on the beach and listen to the sounds of nature.
Also saw multiple turkeys, blue heron, egrets and other birds as well as rabbits. Saw plenty of deer including fawns and two large bucks.
The visitor center offers various films about Assateague. They are informative and interesting. The visitor center also has multiple exhibits. One may sponsor a wild pony (info inside the gift shop) . . for a small fee. It is a great way to assist with the ponies.
All staff and rangers are friendly and helpful.
If visiting Assateague National Seashore is not on your bucket list, it should be. No two visits are the same. Wonderful experience with fabulous memories.
Please follow all rules and speed limits to ensure this gem is available for future generations.
