Wonderful tour of the Gardens and their Mythical Creature exhibition is very interesting

点评：I spent the morning and afternoon at The Met Cloisters, taking the Garden Tour which was wonderful on a sunny day with the gardens in bloom and then touring the new exhibition ‘Mythical Creatures’.
I highly recommend the Garden Tour on a warm sunny morning. The docent we had was so informative and took us through all three Cloisters and some of the art displays to show the development and use of these gardens in the Middle Ages not just for medical purposes but for religious and pleasure. The museum does such a nice job maintaining the gardens and the docent explained how each garden had a purpose and why they were grown. Not just that but they were so beautiful to look at.
After the tour, I viewed the new ‘Mythical Creatures’ exhibition which was fascinating the views society had with the discovery of the Americas. Native societies had their own views of the unknown and mysticism and it showed in all the unusual creatures that were on display.
I really enjoyed my morning at the museum.
