Restaurants and Pubs closed when they should be open

点评：This is some feedback on the town of Kayserberg.
My wife and I stayed there for 5 days from the 24 September 2024.
Whilst the town was beautiful getting a meal and a drink in the evening was virtually impossible.
We stayed in the centre of town. About 6pm we went out for a pre diner drink, to the Kaysers Bier, it was closed.
We looked for a pub or somewhere to get a drink and quite a lot of places, mainly closed had signs, "this is not a pub".
When we did find an open restaurant. one of only two, we were told that they closed at 7.30pm.
The next night was the same we went further into the town and nearly every restaurant was closed or closing around 6-6:30pm.
In the end we ate and drank at home. Which wouldn't have helped the local economy at all.
If you like to dine out don't go to Kaysersberg as you will be throughly disappointed.
I don't know how this is supposed to support tourism as surely my wife and I were not the only to people to have the same experience and everywhere else in France and Europe, we have been restaurants are generally open at meal times and pubs are open in the evening too?
