点评：Top Shelf creates experiences, friendships, and award winning spirits. The company is mindful of the history of the area (4 distilleries in that small area from the past), the environment they are situated in, and the future. They are stewards of the forest, water, their waste products, and also people. They are invested in co-op students, who have ideas to improve sustainability. There is a greenhouse area to recapture CO2, as an example.
Planning to stop by? I suggest checking out their website and letting them know you would like to see and hear more.
We were treated to an hour tour, that culminated with a private pairing and tasting.
Why?
Top Shelf values long-term friendships and relationships.
There is a nicely set up shop that carries their line of products. It's a good idea to request a taste, as they have a sample station set up. You won't be disappointed, as there will be many items that tickle your palate.
Ask questions. New products are being created as they go.
There are some truly unique products, there are the traditional whiskies (rye bourbon), all heaped with stories.
Ask where the Mickey bottle came from !
