Amazing beer and fun atmosphere

点评：Located on the square in downtown Waterloo is where you will find various restaurant’s, Hopskeller Brewing Company, and just a short walk from there is Stubborn German Brewing Co. A really fun, laid back, easy going atmosphere with some traditional German beers with some modern day beers as well. The Schitzengiggles, a dunkel beer, with notes of roasted malt and bread is about as German as you can get. The Old Ledger Lager is as clean and crisp of a pilsner as you will find anywhere in the bi-state area. For those with an adventurous side check out their barrel-aged series on tap and to go. Our trip they had a Bourbon Barrel-Aged German Chocolate Cake stout with impressive notes of coconut, chocolate, and caramel from the bourbon barrels. While the abv clocked in around 9.3 it drank super smooth and easy. They do various barrel-aged styles year round and with their core beers it was a great place to have a few beers. Kid friendly no food but you can get food from the various restaurants on the square delivered. $$
