I have to firstly thank Gate of Alamut Tour Co’s, Hosein Farhady, The owner/tour operator, coordinated my tour all over Iran. Countless hours discussing politics, Iran culture, its country’s beliefs, family values, marriage customs, music and the ancient history with Hosein and my main Tour guide, Iman Zeinalabedinal, who speaks 7 foreign tongues. Thanks to Mostafa, guide in Kashan and his wife Fatema who assisted in the tour planning. Thanks to all the drivers. What a great team. Very organized, thoughtful and kind. Everybody made me feel very special and treated like family.
IRAN, the most misunderstood country in the world. And, as a single woman traveling alone to all these ancient countries, I didn’t get the c’mon from men at all in Iran compared to other places. They don’t have merchants after you or coaxing to buy. Iran is a very safe country. I never felt worried or unsafe in a crowded street. The people are super genuinely kind. It’s very affordable here and for three people, a huge big lunch dish with meat, gorgeous rice with drinks cost $13. This country made me think and realize how lucky we are in the US with freedom but also that people in Africa and M.E. The people are gentler, treat family better, kinder towards each other and to strangers like us foreigners. I learn from all countries and that’s why my thirst of traveling continues non stop. I’m always surprised with each passing day, the wonders of this country, making more friends and discovering different cultures all over the world. I’ll definitely be coming back here.
