A Wonderful Area with Fabulous Views
Henry M. Jackson Visitor Center的点评
点评：We were let off here in the Paradise area and allowed 2 hours on our own to explore these beautiful surroundings.
We first went to the Henry M. Jackson Memorial Visitor Center in the upper parking lot. We walked around the building to see that they have a bunch of exhibits about the park that were very similar to those in the Longmire Museum. There was a line to get the Parks Passport Stamps, so we were certainly glad to have got them in the other visitor center. There was also a theater and a dining area – and both were packed.
We went outside and enjoyed our lunch on the benches facing the epic view of majestic Mount Rainier. It looked very grand from so close by. After lunch, we did a mini hike up the snow-covered path but came back quickly because the path was a little too slippery.
We peeked in the historic Ranger Station where there were a few exhibits and very friendly Park Rangers and finally made our way to Paradise Inn in the lower parking lot. The architecture here is rustic and gorgeous. The hanging lamps in the high ceiling were admirable with all the nature designs. There is a gift store here from where we bought some souvenirs.
Our final stop was at the Tatoosh Café right here in the Inn. They had great Hot Chocolate and Mini Cakes which we truly enjoyed. The views from their patio were wonderful.
This is a beautiful spot to spend free time in. Highly recommend a visit.
