Disappointing Experience Despite High Expectations

点评：This round of golf was one of the experiences we were most looking forward to on our honeymoon — especially since it was my first time playing in Hawaii. Unfortunately, it ended up being one of the more underwhelming parts of our trip.
While we expected a premium price for a course of this reputation, we were genuinely surprised by the overall condition. The course was noticeably dry and worn, with several greens showing clear signs of construction damage. Many of the cart paths were closed due to ongoing work, which made navigation clunky and disrupted the overall flow of play.
Although the ocean views were beautiful when they appeared, only two holes were actually on the water — a short par 4 and a par 3 — which felt a bit misleading based on the way the course is often advertised. We expected more coastal play and a greater sense of “wow” from the layout.
The overall management also seemed lacking. There was only one mid-course stop for snacks and drinks, and no roaming beverage cart in sight — something you’d expect from a course at this price point. Even the golf cart itself was disappointing, with ripped, dirty seats and no clear way to connect Bluetooth for music.
All in all, the experience didn’t meet expectations, and we left feeling let down. While we wanted this to be a highlight of our honeymoon, we likely wouldn’t return based on this visit.
