Serene and Peaceful Hill Station in Maharashtra

点评：Bhandardara is a serene hill station in Maharashtra having picturesque settings.
Peaceful place great for camping. Also has a few resorts/lodges.
Can be reached from Igatpuri if travelling from Mumbai or from Pune --> Alephata(has tolls) or Ozar(No toll) -->Otur-->Bhramanwada-->Kotul-->Rajur.
The road condition is very bad in certain patches, also narrow and has less traffic.
It was suggested by resort person that road conditions are good from Sangamner-->Akola-->Rajur, however this is longer route from Pune.
Overall, the route to Bhandardara is beautiful with the Sahyadri ranges.
Kalsubai the highest peak in Maharastra and Alang-Madan-Kulang peaks can be seen.
Attractions include-
1. Wilson dam
2. Arthur lake; Boating
3. Umbrella Falls - only during monsoon
4. Randha Falls - about 11 km from MTDC resort
5. Amruteshwar Temple
5. Numerous treks around to Sandhan VAlley, Konkada valley, the Ratnagad (Fort) which is trekked uphill from the base of the Amruteshwar Temple.
Arrangements for camping can be made through locals for setting up tents, food and bonfire.
Best time to visit is during late monsoon when waterfalls are abundant and whole area has many different shades of green.
