点评:Made an online booking by mistake at the Uckfield Cinema. (was trying to make a booking at another Sussex cinema, but the web somehow directed me to the Uckfied site instead). Booking was made approximately 20 hours before the showing. I called the box office on opening (10:00). Agent said cannot make refund because the Cinema was ‘Independent’ & didn’t do refunds, I explained I was a pensioner living in Brighton & couldn’t afford to lose the £26.90 for the two mistakenly booked seats. The Agent said it was my fault & not theirs. I agreed, but said that that shouldn’t affect the Cinema’s ability to refund my money (at this time, still showing ‘pending’ on my credit card online bank statement) . I’ve been offered a ‘credit ticket’, however, Uckfield’s a good distance away from me, so there’s little chance of me using it. Towards the end of the call, the agent barely allowed me to get a word in edgeways & then hung up the phone when I said I would be sharing my experience on Social media…. Not a great experience in any way. Sharp practice - Beware……
