Hexham Old Gaol的点评
点评：Paid £7 each for adults. We were in and out in 10-15 mins. Hand on heart, this is the poorest attraction we have ever been to. No cells, no interrogation room, no nothing. 2 rooms per floor. All modern and up to date. Not signs that this building was ever a Gaol. Just modern rooms with reading and pictures on the walls. Ground floor is a reception area and small souvenier shop and on the other side a room with pictures and facts. This was the most interesting room. It went downhill very fast from there, to be fair, it never actually got up any hill of any sort. First floor, 2 rooms. More info, pictures and some random chains and handcuffs on the side. Oh, there was about 6 small garments, thats kids might want to try on. Top floor, 2 more rooms, 1 was a kids playroom (very randomly) and the other had some dummies sat at a table with a stuffed cat. The grandstand finish, was a trip to the dungeon. Down 3 flights and the lift stays shut. You are there for approx 1 minute whilst there are voices heard, kind of a scuffle I think. The dungeon was the biggest disappointment of my entire life. I was expecting to see something, anything. It was a completely empty room. Yes completely empty room. Not even a stone seat or even a chain or dummy. Nothing at all!! Oh there was a 230v socket. We walked out laughing to ourselves. I literally was expecting Jeremy Beadle to jump out and a film crew. Just really confused TBF.
