点评:We had a nightmare experience on a Viking river cruise in May 2025.
My husband got sick the first night we were on board. The staff of the Rinda went above and beyond helping us get home. The Viking sponsored TRIP MATE “insurance” however was a total failure. They ghosted me and I had to make our flight home myself on Bookings.com. When we dragged ourselves home they asked for document after document which we provided. Even a statement from the Rinda confirming what had happened, after they basically claimed I was a liar. We waited a month each time they asked for another document.
The final insult was to ask for a document proving we had paid for the trip!
Viking customer service was not helpful until I I repeatedly contacted them to complain.
Again I was made the bad guy but finally we were told by Viking ‘customer service’ that our check would arrive in 7-10 business days. Still waiting. It will be three months of delay and back and forth…….
We are out $20,000 and a lot of stress and grief.
I would urge you to find other insurance to protect you in case of illness.
I am VERY disappointed in Viking.
Their excuse…… basically not their problem. Shameful behavior by Viking and their insurance broker.
