Outdated Dress Code Policy at Manfredi’s

点评：We’re currently on a Viking cruise (October 20, 8 PM seating at Manfredi’s) and were disappointed by how we were treated at dinner. Despite wearing premium designer jeans, elegant tops, and fine jewelry, we were told jeans weren’t allowed — but that we would be “let in this one time.” Meanwhile, other guests wearing black athletic pants and flip-flops were not approached.
Being called out publicly was uncomfortable and unnecessary. It’s 2025 — “smart casual” can include well-styled denim, and the focus should be on overall presentation, not one outdated fabric rule. We’ve stayed at five-star hotels worldwide and never encountered this kind of inconsistency.
We love Viking and were planning to book another cruise, but this experience has made us reconsider. If Viking wants to attract a younger generation of luxury travelers, it’s time to modernize the dress policy and train staff to handle such situations with more discretion.
