点评:Hiked the 11 km Wall Lake Trail on the morning of August 27, 2025. I also did a side quest to Forum Falls (extra 500 metres total). The trail gains elevation from the start for the first kilometre or so through the burned forest and then levels off and is mostly flat for the remainder. I loved seeing the new growth, berry bushes, and tiny lodgepole pines along the trail. I took a quick side trip to Forum Falls which was very pretty.
The trail crosses the BC border into Akamina-Kishinena Provincial Park about 1.5 km into the hike and there is a sign saying “Welcome to BC,” which is cool. The trail leading to Wall Lake after the Akamina Campground had some more minor ups and downs and continued to travel through burned forest. It took me 2 hours to hike to the lake and 1.5 hours back down to the trailhead. Wall Lake was gorgeous with the mountain reflections on the calm water. Very peaceful setting. I saw four mountain goats way in the distance on the mountain behind the lake (they were super tiny to the naked eye but you could see one of them walking across a ridge). We had the lake to ourselves for a short time before more people arrived. We passed more people as we hiked down and were glad we had started early at around 8:15 am. This was an enjoyable hike with not too much elevation gain and beautiful views.
我还顺便去了一趟Forum Falls(总共多爬了500米)。
