台风舄湖的点评
点评：There is nothing like going to a water park to beat the Florida heat, and Typhoon Lagoon is a great option. We arrived close to the parks opening to get a locker and shaded seats. Typhoon Lagoon has a great atmosphere, and a quirky theme, being a paradise that was wrecked by a storm, sending the shrimp boat Ms Tilly to the top of Mount Mayday.
The best part of the park is the massive wave pool, which is great place to chill and hangout, until Miss Tilly blows water from her stack, indicating that the big waves are coming, and the waves are big. The pool creates some huge waves that go over peoples head, in fact the wave pool is used for surfing lessons in the early morning for Disney hotel guests. The park also has a pretty long and relaxing lazy river that traverses around the park, you can relax and use the river to get around the park. The park has some really good raft slides, like Crush 'n' Gusher, Gang Plank Falls, and Miss Adventure Falls, all are pretty fun. On Mount Mayday, there are a few body slides, but Humunga Kowabunga is the best, maybe not the highest slide in Florida, but you can hit pretty high speeds sliding down.
One thing I like about Typhoon Lagoon is that it has some good spots to grab food, and even adults drinks, and not badly priced for being Disney. I had really good burger, while my daughter had really tasty chicken rice bowls w/ plantains. Admission is around $70, which is steep but it is Disney. Unlike the big parks, Typhoon Lagoon seems to retain it's charm, maybe because Disney tends not to do a lot of expansions on their water parks. The park does get crowded, especially in the summer months. On weekdays the crowds are a little smaller, or visiting on the colder months, the pools are heated.
Overall, Typhoon Lagoon has become my favorite water, it's great place to cool off and just a solid water park.
