It’s home to a beloved trail system, breathtaking views, and a high-end restaurant that prides itself on a premium experience. But take one step into the public restrooms, and you’d think you wandered onto the set of a prison documentary.
The lighting? Dim and depressing. The toilets? Bare metal bowls that look more jailhouse than guesthouse — not even a toilet seat cover in sight. Are we in a scenic national treasure or a holding cell at county lock-up? The contrast between the elegance upstairs and the embarrassment downstairs is staggering. It’s a joke. And not a funny one.
These facilities are a reflection — a reflection of how seriously (or not) we take the experience of the very people who support and celebrate this park. Whoever is responsible for maintaining these restrooms should be ashamed. The neglect is obvious. The discomfort is real. The standard is unacceptable.
