A Quick Fun Stop, but Absolutely Worth It

点评：We loved this quirky stop in Metropolis, Illinois, just across the river from Paducah, Kentucky. It was the perfect break on our way from Paducah to Memphis, Tennessee.
You can’t miss the Superman statue — it’s bigger than you expect and even more fun in person. It’s a great place for selfies and a guaranteed conversation starter when you send photos to friends or post them online, since so many people don’t even realize there’s a real town called Metropolis.
Right across the street is a charming Superman Museum filled with all things Superman. You’ll find just about every Superman souvenir you can imagine — and a few you probably wouldn’t expect.
It’s a quick stop, but absolutely worth it for the fun of being able to say you visited Metropolis and saw Superman. Pure fun from start to finish.
