The Atheneum的点评
点评：We started our adventure in New Harmony here. We signed up for the daily 10:00am 45-minute tour plus the 1:00pm daily 2-hour history tour where you get to go into locked buildings. The double-hitter was $15 each with AAA. Both tours are on a large golf cart. Our tour guide was Heidi and she knocked it out of the park, facing down a constant stream of questions from a group of three women with ADD. We could have spent even more time with her sucking out every bit and piece of knowledge about this unique, historic town.
The Atheneum, itself, has the short film, a great diatribe of the original town, a gift shop, and a great bathroom. The wheelchair accessibility of the building and the tour is great - they take ramps and stepping stools on the cart if needed and have a wheelchair loader.
The other docents or employees gave us great tips about what to see (or skip, in a subtle way) in the town.
Well worth it, well done.
