Enjoyable our & tasting in a stunning setting

点评：We had a lovely afternoon at Coddington, after being given a voucher for a tasting and sharing platter by my parents. We were shown around the Vineyard by Peter, where he shared some of the ups and downs of small-scale wine production. He is clearly knowledgeable and passionate about his craft.
Following the tour, we were shown to our table on the terrace overlooking the beautiful gardens. There we enjoyed a glass of sparkling wine - such a lovely "flavourful" drink - and a selection of their other wines. We were left to sample these in peace with the written tasting notes provided. The tasting platter was a superb selection of local meat and cheeses, with accompaniments such as fruit and chutney, as well as a variety of breads and savoury biscuits.
The staff who waited on us were friendly and attentive, and made sure that we had everything we wanted. We enjoyed hot drinks and delicious cake with our family after the tasting, the only dampener literally being a rain shower which sent us scurrying indoors! Thank you for making us all so welcome.
