Fossil Rim Wildlife Center的点评
点评：My son and I took a Safari Tour at 11:00 am on a Wednesday during spring break. It was sunny sound 60 degree and very windy. We spent 5 hours here in total and it was AMAZING. There were tons of animals to see up close (even some babies!) and the guides were very knowledgeable. You don’t hand feed most animals just toss them food when they come up to the bus. My son did get to hand feed the giraffes and they had us line up pellets on the side of the bus for the ostrich to eat inches away. He loved it!
We were provided a plastic cup filled with food. They give you more than you need so don’t worry too much about using it all up, my 10 year old didn’t use all of his and I hardly used any of mine (was too busy taking photos!) At the half way point you get off at the overlook where you can eat, shop and go to the petting pen (lots of friendly goats!). We took our time here and didn’t feel rushed as the busses came every 30 min. One was leaving just when we were ready to go back, but there was a guide at the bus loading station who was a wealth of knowledge and kept us entertained while we waited. We got a new cup of food on the way down.
I must say this was worth every penny! Getting a tour was great cause you don’t have to worry about driving and you learn so much from the guides. The guides can go off road too to get closer or navigate around traffic jams. It was run very well and I would recommend it to all ages. We will be bringing visitors here for sure!
