点评:Any business that ignores complaints and treats its customers with contempt should be avoided. You only have to read the number of complaints against this cinema and the generic copy and paste responses to them from the company to realise they don’t give a damn about their customers. When complaints go unaddressed it shows a blatant disregard for the very customers keeping them in business, and I’m speaking from experience with Movies@swords. Booked Friday night tickets online recently for their so-called VIP Screen (the one that’s supposed to provide better comfort / toilets and a concession stand in its lobby, etc). Instead we arrived to a very small screening room sitting in seats with all the armrest leather and foam underneath absolutely torn to bits. Other sears all around us torn to bits. The drinks holders in the armrest were broken so couldn’t be used. Concession stand wasn’t even open. And the men’s toilets were closed with an out of order sign on the door. Go outside to the toilets in the foyer area and guess what? Two cubicles blocked up with toilet paper and you can guess what else. The other cubicle has a door that couldn’t close because the lock is faulty. No staff in sight except one or two at the entrance concession stand, and they looked totally bored and demoralized. The whole place is an absolute cesspit. Phoned their office the following Monday and was told to submit a complaint via email to their customer services email and their management team would deal with the complaint. Never even got a reply, not even an acknowledgment of receipt. Sent a reminder email and asked for an update and received a generic response saying my complaint had been forwarded to management. Weeks later and still no response from “management.” Then wrote a letter of complaint and sent it directly to the owner Graham Spurling at the head office in Dundrum. And no surprises for guessing there was still no response. That just speaks volumes about the way this cinema operates. If you really want to see a film on the big screen do yourself a favour and avoid this place and go to another cinema. Or wait until it comes to streaming services. You’d be better off watching the film on your mobile phone with earphones sitting on Dublin Bus than wasting your hard earned money in that dump.
