点评:It’s still as incredible as ever but also very different. I don’t want to compare my first visit from 2002 to this year or other previous visits but it’s unavoidable. Trains were very crowded, standing room only on most and some connections were more like a cattle stampede with lots of people running with very large suitcases and not everyone can get on. So know your limits and plan accordingly.
To be in Lauterbrunnen on a sunny day is to be blessed with stunning scenery - a rare chance to experience something most people never will. But even in October it was very crowded in the village. Yes, easy to hike up or walk out in the valley but I can’t imagine this being my home and dealing with all that this brings on this small community.
Lines for everything, getting lunch or dinner is more of a challenge, walking through the village is not the same with big groups and many other tourists.
Please be respectful of these treasured places - lower your voices, don’t go on private property or disrespect people’s privacy for any reason.
And take care with your steps, your trash and your impact so that Lauterbrunnen and all the treasured places will be around forever.
