Kayaking skills course review at Canoe and Kayak Auckland.

点评：I undertook the essential kayak skills course recently for sea kayaks. The experience was awesome. At the hands of a capable competent instructor, we learned about safe kayaking considering the weather and other important details for planning a kayak outing in a classroom setting then later at a safe beach location entered the water in our kayaks and mastered the array of paddle strokes and the best way to launch and beach a kayak.
Following lunch, we completed some exercises to improve our confidence on the water and finally how to complete a wet exit and a rescue should we ever need to recover from an involuntary flip whilst paddling.
The spirit within the group was one of fun and friendship and the instructor gave us great support and encouragement and understood any of our concerns.
The completion of this course lends itself to a kayaking experience that is safe, of fun and looking good. Highly recommended and of good value.
