点评:There's a lot to like here and a few things not so good. First off it is an absolutely wonderful depiction of Native American heritage. The mounds are meticulously preserved surrounded by paved walking paths. An easy hike around the grounds. Along the way there are placards with photos and historic information. We paid $8.00 for parking and picked up a few things in the gift shop. The money goes towards the upkeep of the facility. They even appropriately sold Mounds candy bars.
Here's the issue. There are well built CCC era restrooms on the property. Neither of them in working condition. Instead, they had a row of port-a-potties; most unpleasant on a hot day. The other issue was that the observation tower was closed and appears to have been that way for quite a while.
Aside from those two issues, the place deserves a solid five. If you are interested in the culture, don't be deterred.
